Tempe Fair parking

Hi Everyone!

We are doing our first Tempe Festival of the Arts this December.  We got a booth directly across from a nice public parking lot, and would like to go early to park our trailer and truck, then leave the trailer there for the entire show. We can't seem to get an answer from festival organizers re: whether this is ok/possible.  Anyone who has previously done this show have any input?  Our booth is at 5th and Maple.  Thanks.

Julie

  • All the public parking lots in that area are monitored by ASU, not the festival. It's a college community and ASU is very strict with parking policies, they do not hestiate to tow. The festival has an overnight parking area, that would be the safest place. No overnight parking other than that area. There is a lot ran by the festival where you can park during the day for $10 per day. If you go early, you can park on the street in the residential area, accross from the train tracks. You wouldn't be safe leaving your trailer in that area overnight.

  • The last time I did it, show parking was across the railroad tracks down Fifth. They charged $50/vehicle to park there for the entire show, and it wasn't a long walk, unless you are way down on Mill.

You may not be able to leave a trailer in the lot if it is inside the show.

Try the BestParking app, if you have a smart phone. It will tell you if overnight parking is allowed, and who owns the lot. That way, you can call the management of the lot directly.
