Sign Banner Mounting Idea

Here's an idea for mounting your signs on the front of your tent I would like to share with the group:

I was looking for a solution to mount my vinyl sign banner on the front of my tent without the need to mount poles and to keep a clean look. I thought some strong magnets would do the trick, and in my search for the right item I came across these:

They are sold by Grainger. You can find them here

They have a magnetic strength of 35lbs. and the ring attaches to the grommets at the end of my sign. On the other side of the tent wall I have a smaller magnet that I purchased at Grainger, too.

You can find them here. I had my sign up all weekend with 20+ mph winds and it held up quite well without ever moving the sign.

  • I am currently using 2 magnets on the top and have a white string and clip on the bottom half which secures to tabs on the corner of my booth's roof. Throughout the season, the sign only came off once due to some VERY strong Florida thunderstorm winds. The backing magnet was on the floor but the sign was still held on by one magnet and the bottom clips. Extra backing magnets, maybe even stronger ones, I am certain would work fine in stronger wind conditions.

  • wow, what a great idea! Thanks for this!

  • That magnet idea sounds great.  Do you use two or four magnets (one for each corner of the banner)?
