Shows prices and deadlines.

HI all,

Looks like some good shows coming up.  Too bad I seem to miss the deadline buy a few days.  Why are some shows almost $1,000???  Glad I found this site!

This is what I make.

Have a bright and colorful day!

  • Summerfest is a long, music-oriented festival. It's also a long event, much longer than an average art festival. They do have marketplaces, but it's not really an "art" show.

The top juried art festivals in the country have booth fees ranging from $300-$1500. Sausalito and Cherry Creek are the top contenders in this lottery. There are many many good craft shows that have booth fees running between $100-300. Other good shows, like Gasparilla in Tampa, and Winter Park's Sidewalk Art Fair run about $500 for a 2-3 day show.

Do your research, and you will find that fees are much more reasonable for the local affairs, and that the well-known national juried events tend to be more. A good place to start is right here on the companion site, ArtFairCalendar.com.

Most shows have deadlines from three months to eight months out. It takes planning to get those apps in. A spreadsheet with dates, deadlines and locations is a huge planning aid. Here's an excel file to get you started.

  • What shows are you considering that have almost $1,000 in booth fees?

Most of our show schedule is $250 to $600 per space.

    • Summer Fest in Milwaukee... I remember a few years back someone at the Irish Fest said it was $900.00 for their booth.  Sheeeesh!
