First, I'd like to thank Connie Mettler for writing me back on how to get into this. I'm still learning how to blog.

I have more than one topic to discuss. First, I'd like to ask if anyone has ever participated with Conyer's Cherry Blossom Festival in GA. I have not applied but thought about it. One year, AFSB gave it a negative review, showing it as a show that had negative figures dollar-wise--a definite ouch! This year, they show it unrated, so I wondered why. I did Mulberry Street in Macon, GA (another Cherry Blossom Festival)  a few times and would never ever recommend it to anyone. It's a poorly run with lots and lots of buy sell.

----Different subject---

Artists such as we take pride in making our own work and find buy/sells offensive on so many levels. I think a lot of us have had to unfortunately deal with them -even in high end shows that are supposed to be juried. Another issue I've come to discover on occasion involves artistic integrity amongst artists. I have witnessed one more than one occasion, a certain artist who is doing direct copies of other people's work--same media, sometimes the same show circuit, What do you all think of that and how would you address that? Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this and hope you have time to reply. I appreciate each and everyone!!!
