Hi,
I am new to the craft show circuit and have some questions about power supply. What is the best way to have power to your booth? I am a soapmaker and use small white Christmas lights around each of my tables. I also use a small lamp on each table to add more light, and I usually have between 4 and 5 tables, depending on the show. Most of the info I've seen regarding power involved a marine battery, an inverter and a battery charger, but I'd like to know if anyone uses this setup, what brands they would recommend.
I'm also looking to start taking Visa and any information regarding this would also be very helpful.
Thanks!

I just went to Home Desperado and bought a Black & Decker 400 amp unit for $100. I use it for my register and fan. It lasts one day and needs to be recharged at night. But I wouldn't think of hooking up lights to it. And around here nobody has lights at outdoor shows anyway. We use the sunlight.
As far as plastic, go to the threads and read them all. Some will say "Use my guy!" Others will say "NO! Use mine, he's better!" Read about the annual PCI Compliance fees. Read about what you can and cannot do. The card companies want to get rid of the knucklebuster so they have come out with cards without imprinted info. So you'll have to get a terminal. How much are you willing to spend?
