I started crafting jewelry designs a few years ago for myself and as gifts for others. As friends and colleagues asked for custom designs, my "business" grew. I mainly sell at work and local fairs and shows. I really enjoy designing custom pieces. It's rewarding when there's a personal connection.
I do a lot of "stringing", but am beginning to explore wire work. I love to bend and manipulate and can't wait to play with fire!
My biggest frustration is being true to my creativity, yet keeping my pieces affordable.
I guess my next hurdle would be time. I currently teach full time and design and promote my business on the side. I'm hoping to discover profitable venues close to my home on eastern Long Island.
