  • I'll be trying one of the ones mentioned here. Mine was awful, every minute seemed like they were raising prices. I used GLobal Payments, don't like it, don't use it... blek
  • I have a great little system. The card processor is a cell phone with a scanner slot on the side, and the printer is a tiny wireless gizmo that prints out thermal paper receipts. It's a Way System set-up that is now owned by VeriPhone. My account is with Titan Merchant Services www.titanmerchantservices.com, 800-396-5660. They have been very helpful and reasonable. I used to have an account through Chase that was the most horrible mess in the world. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy (if I had one). Anyway, this new system has a low monthly fee, and the wireless cost is way less than getting a wireless account through a cell phone company. They also have non-wireless accounts that you can sign up for. I had one of those for a while before going wireless. The ease of this far outweighs the extra cost.
    • thank you so so much! i am so cautious,i just cancelled the account i almost had for 2 weeks, their customer service was non-existent.. awful, so thank you so much i am looking into this one, i appreciate your time very much!
  • We've been using merchantanywhere.com with their Pocket Merchant card reader with literally no problems. Originally were using it with a treo 650, but now with an HP netbook. check out their website for more info. Service can be used seasonally with no monthly charge during your off season.
    • thank you very much, its really appreciated!
  • thats exactly what im looking for - thank you!! i will ask for the nurit 3010 - i had a trans something in PA, worked really good, but i need to keep my costs LOW... thanks again!
  • paypal, you can turn it off and on when you need it.
    • thank you, this sounds good too, but i want to just take cards at my shows, not sure this can be done with paypal?
      • yeah, you just take the info manually, not good if you are doing a ton of stuff but, these days if a 2-D'er sells a dozen decent paintings a weekend he is doing well.
