Hello, one and all!
Ron Gage here from Westland, Michigan (about 20 miles west of downtown Detroit). I am just now getting into my first full year of doing art shows here - focusing primarily on Michigan at the moment but hope to eventually expand to Ohio, Indiana and who knows where else. I am a photographer first and foremost who focuses (heh) on landscapes and waterways.
About me: I am in my 50's and have been working with photography since 8th grade (I was lucky enough to attend an intermediate school that had a full graphic arts program including a color darkroom). I currently hold a day job to keep the bills paid and the roof over my head - I work as a computer server engineer at an air-freight company. I am married with 1 son who is in the Air Force, stationed in Misawa Japan. No grandkids - yet.
I did one art show last year as a last minute fill in - and let's just say that didn't go too well (sold a total of $35). Learned my lesson and am moving on to bigger and better things. I hope to be able to contribute as much as possible to the place here - after all, we aren't competitors but inspiration for one another (right??).
So there it is, the $.05 run down!
