In Memoriam: Kae Taylor

Kae Taylor, age 59, died on August 8, 2014. She was a batik artist. Kae lived in Madison, WI, and was a long time participant in art fairs.

    301659074?profile=RESIZE_320x320Madison, WI. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 8, 2014. She was born in Omaha, NE, on June 15, 1955, the daughter of Shirley (Milbourn) and Richard Trouba. She married William Bud Taylor, Jr., on November 17, 1973. Kae graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. She was an award-winning artist, known for her drawing and batik. She is survived by her husband, Bud; her daughters, Nicole, Amanda, and Kristen; her grand-daughter, Aiana; her siblings, Lawrence (Sue) Trouba, and Laura (Kevin) Jennings; and her step-siblings, Cheryl (Don) Knuttel, Greg (Becky) Trouba, and Debbie (David) Trouba. She was preceded in death by her parents; many friends, and beloved pets. The family would like to extend a special "Thanks" to the staff at UW Hospital's B6 wing.

    A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Immaculate Heart Of Mary, 5101 Schofield Street in Monona, with Father John Silva presiding. A VISITATION will be from 10am until the time of Mass at the Church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or to the family to help with Kae's medical expenses.

    On August 8, 2014, longtime WAAC* member, Kae Taylor lost her battle with cancer. A batik artist, Kae was a WAAC member for 25 years and served as a board member for many of those years, as well as exhibiting at our fairs. Her last meeting was June 9 of this year. 
    She championed many things for WAAC, but the one very dear to her heart was Young Collectors' Corner at the Winter Art Fair Off the Square. A memorial service for Kae will be held on Tuesday, August 26, at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Madison (Monona). Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 with a luncheon afterward. Her full obituary will be in The Wisconsin State Journal on Sunday, August 17, as well as on the Joyce-Ryan Funeral Home website.
