I love it -- there is nothing else like this out there -- thank you for doing this ... the compliments go on and on ...

So, how does one make a sale?  Close a sale?  Hear that the potential purchaser identify who the item is for and then walk away?

The kudos are there.  The potential possibilities are there. But the sales ... are not where we wish they were ...

Thanks you advance.

  • I'm a wildlife and nature photographer. Sometimes telling the potential customer something about the photograph helps. Maybe a little nature lesson about the bird or butterfly, or maybe a story about how I got the shot. If I see that they are walking away, I might mention that I have the photo in smaller sizes or even note cards.  Sometimes I point out other photos of the same subject matter.  I have a few photos in my bins that usually bring a laugh, so I will point them out if I have time.

  • Interestingly, Deborah, we'll be having a podcast on this very topic with an expert on pricing, making the sale and working with your marketplace this week, Thursday at 6 pm ET. Stay tuned for the details.
