I have a question regarding the Bayou Memorial Park show.

The description of the show on Zap seems to imply that storage behind your booth is not allowed.  Am I misreading this?  If not, for those who have shown there, how big a deal to you find this?

  • I have stored stuff behind my booth, as does just about everyone. I would second Jim in that you should not go crazy, but this show is not cramped at all. There are some booths that have a steep ditch behind them. If you look at the map of the circle, these booths are around the 2 O'clock position.
  • From the ZAPP Description:

Artists needing more storage than is allowed for in the booth space they have purchased must inform festival staff 30 days prior to arrival. Any storage that detracts from the overall booth or festival appearance will be considered an infraction and can result in the artist being asked to leave.

Artists who will utilize more space than the booth they purchase allows for will need to approve the booth footprint with festival staff 30 days prior to load in. Any placement of artwork that detracts from the overall booth or festival appearance, or that infringes on another artists booth space will be considered an infraction and can result in the artist being asked to leave.

I would guess, not having done this show, that you would not want to strew stuff around willy nilly. There may be space behind the booth; the description does not forbid storage behind the booth. It says you can't use more than you paid for, and it has to look decent.
