Hello, my name is...

My name is Wendy Boucher and I have jumped into the art festival fray. I got an art degree, oh so many years ago, but I got sidetracked with a master's degree in political science and a law degree. Now I've come back to art full time

I just discovered this website and I've already received a lot of good advice for an upcoming show in Florida. I live in south Florida and so far I am scheduled to do Coconut Grove, Gasparilla, and Mainsail (both in the Tampa area). I don't know how much I can travel outside of Florida for shows given that I have an 11 year old daughter, two dogs, and a supportive husband. We'll see how it goes. I'd love to hear from other moms or dads with young-ish kids. I do mixed media, paper on canvas. I call it painting with paper because the images resemble paintings. But I don't use paint. I look forward to getting to know the people in this community. I've had such a warm welcome already!

    Hi, Wendy. Hope the shows and the child care & dog care are goin well for you. How was Mainsail for you? The application for the 2011 show is today, I think, and we are thinking of applying. But we can't seem to find out much info about the show. For us it's a big time commitment because we live in Philadelphia and would be making a long trek down there.
