Funky Ferndale Art Fair

I did FF this year for the first time. I was just down the way from you apparently, but I didn't see you. I'm still learning about the in's & out's of the business, but this show is fine for a small show. You're not going to run out of there screaming about how good it is. It's ...ok... for me, but out of two dozen shows a do a year this one was the second lowest gross sales of the year so far. With that, I say it was ok for a few reasons.

One, I think fall shows in general are inherently worse and often fall into the "festival" category. Just by the nature of the time of year, kids back to school, cooler temps etc.
Two, this show is part of a four week fall blitz. Three of these, including this one, are within 5 miles of each other & are all in September.
Three, I probably oversaturated the market with my stuff. I'll probably look for a different show to replace one or two of the shows I did this year, next year.

Overall, I've done worse. The crowds were ok, the staff was good, and it was on TV a bunch. The rain didn't help, but I still think it's a smaller show, good for being small.
