Any thoughts, suggestions, or recommendations for shows in FL on either the weekend of Feb 19th or 26th? I don't mind taking one week for nothing but fun in the sun but I'll get pretty anxious if I have two. Either for my high-end contemporary wood sculpture or Cindy's moderately priced sterling and stone jewelry.

How about the Islamorada Fine Arts Expo? It will be the weekend of the 26th and 27th. Last year they had impressive artists and was a high quality show. This year Mercedes Benz is one of the sponsors and that has increased their ad budget. It is only the second year but they are learning fast. There are blogs from several AFI'ers regarding last year's show. And, as an added bonus--Islamorada is gorgeous and only about 90 minutes from Miami.
I second the Islamorada suggestion. The organizers are from the arts council/arts district and are focused on producing a quality event which should be good for your work.
Agreed, that looks like the best bet. I'll talk to some artists and do a bit of research but will most likely give it a shot. Lodging could be interesting out there.
Holy crap! No wonder not many are responding to this. I meant to say 1/19 and 1/26, being that those are dates that actually exist, whoops.
I just looked at callsforartists.com and I see Paragon has a show in Sarasota on the 19th & 20th. Ever do a show in Sarasota?
Yeah, I saw that. I think it's a first year show? Doesn't feel like a good fit for either of us. I think HA has his Armand's Circle show there the following week as well, also not a good fit.
No Coconut Grove, Naples or South Miami? What about Key West? Where are you going the weeks before and after those dates? You can visit a couple days at what my husband calls the Wegner Home for Wayward Artists (I owe you if I remember correctly) and go fishing with Bob or lay out by the pool. Only requirement is you must pet the dog, a lot.
Waiting to hear on the Grove and ArtiGras. South Miami and Naples haven't worked for us and Key West is too late. We will be batting back and forth, hither and yon, criss-crossing.....stop me....FL this winter and would love to reserve some time at Chez Wegner, let's keep in touch.
