This was my first time at Estes Park. I was super excited based on my research and thought it would be a good match for my works. Unfortunately for me it was not a profitable show. I didn't even break even after driving 10 hrs each way and spending $ on food and expenses.

Attendance & Sales:

I sold about $500 each day. The weather was good, yay no storms. Sunday and Monday got quite warm in the afternoon from 2 to 5. Since this was my first time I couldn't gauge if attendance was great or not but it seemed low compared to my other shows. I felt the quality could be improved overall. There were a lot of lookers but not as much sales for me. The last 2 hrs of each sale day were dead. I

Amenities:

Rotarians were super nice and helpful to get artists set up and break down. Coffee and doughnuts available each day as well as booth sitters. Nice, clean real restrooms.

Good Things about this Art Fair:

1) Again great volunteers and super nice organizers!

2) I got to meet Richard Sherer and his wife Jeanne. Super nice folks. Also met a photography artist and his wife who lived near me. I got to do a trade with them for Xmas presents.

3) Application allows one to submit lots of images which was very nice for me since I was able to better show my range of works and styles.

What could this Art Fair have done better?:

1) Attract more tourists/visitors.

2) Please bring in more buyers and less lookers.
3) Upgrade overall quality & integrity of accepted works. Some works were quite craftsy. Also there was someone near me who was selling scarves that I don't believe were handmade by her. I thought the show was for handmade items by artists only. It's not quite fair for me to make each jewelry piece by hand and then had to compete with someone who farmed her work out to someone else.

  • Chau, I could add this show to www.ArtShowReviews.com, also.  We don't have a lot of shows that take place in Colorado on our review website.  This would be a good addition.

I will add it if you would write a review for us there.
