Art Fair Insiders

Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

Here is an excellent article from the Rochester, NY, Democrat and Chronicle, by Mary Chao, focusing on the artists who live in the region and their lifestyles. You'll likely know some of the names mentioned, in particular ceramicist Richard Aerni, whose work can be found at many of the "big" shows, and jeweler Chip Arnold.

In explaining our business to the writer Chip said, “You know how stores wait until Christmas for their big sales?” Arnold asks rhetorically. “Each show is a little Christmas.”

Did you know that artists who were doing CraftBoston this Spring couldn't leave their hotel rooms because of the Boston bombings?

Good article. I put this link here because you should "share" this link on Facebook. The more your customers know about you and the art fair business the better it is for all of us.
