Hi Everyone, I will be doing the Deland Art show in Florida this month for the very first time and wondered if anyone else has done it? I'm concerned about set up. Art Fair Source book says that set up is tight. Does this mean that booths are tightly butted up against each other? I usually use a work station that's a bit bulky--it holds my computer and cash draw. I use these tools because I use Gift Logic Software. This software allows me to create my own bar codes-it calculates the tax---tells me how much change to give, etc. If the spaces are too tight, I may have to revert to a belly bag (yuck) and an calculator. I'm hoping there's a little space between booths so I can set up a small back room too. I'd like to get an idea of what to expect to make the set up earlier--which by the way, is going to take place at 6 a.m. on the morning of the show--(no prior day set up)--So, please give advice, if you can. I will do a report on this show, if you would like. thanks

I did it in 2010 and there was some space between the booths. If you can convince your neighbor to move all the way to one side and you move all the way to the other side you can gain some space between your booth to share with your neighbor. The booths are back to back.
One thing I learned that helped is that you can get there earlier than 6 and park and unload to the sidewalk. That makes setup go faster.
Yes, I've done it twice, but haven't even tried it since about 2007. Booths are close together, or they were when we did the show. Set up is Saturday morning, early! It was well attended and sales were good.
