Covers for Graphic Display panels

Has anyone come up with an inexpensive way to create a cover for the Graphic Display panels?  I know that Flourish makes one, but frankly I was hoping for a less expensive solution.

Thanks.

  • There are some jersey fabrics (not always easy to find) that come on the bolt as a 'tube' (for lack of a better word. Meaning; instead of the fabric being a flat sheet, it's like a sock that can slide over your racks (and it's the perfect size for the 37" GDS racks.) All you have to do is cut it to the length you want and sew the top seam.

If you want cheaper, I have some rack covers for sale - cheap. They're the Flourish covers, white polyester doubleknit fabric. Still in good condition.

    • How many panels and how much are you asking?  Also, where would yu ship from?

      Thanks.

  • I picked up some curtains at Wall-mart and had them sewn together.  I can't remember the exact size but I think they were about 38" wide and 7' long.  They don't look as nice as the ones that Flourish make but they are about 1/4 of the price and they get the job done
    • Thanks.  I ended up using bug screening.  A 25 foot roll -- enough to cover both sides of two panels -- is $15at Home Depot.  A little duck tape and/or Velcro at the bottom and midpoint up the sides and it's secured.  It actually looks pretty sharp, giving the panels a light charcoal  tint.

      • This is somewhat of an old post, but I thought this bug screen thing sounded like a good idea.  I already had some, so decided to try it.  It was my plan to make a separate cover for each panel.  But with the legs I have, I will have to slit the bottom for a ways, and I'm not sure this is going to look ok.  Also, with the roll of bug screen I have (some kind of plastic I think), it has bad creases rolled into it that will probably never come out.  I like the way it looks if I can make it work, but it is looking iffy.  It looks like quite a chore to set up.  I am also considering having Fluorish make some for me, but will have to ask them about the legs and whether or not they leave holes in the covers for the top holes in the panels.  I wonder if anyone else has tried the Fluorish panel covers.

        • I bought these panels used and it came with the covers from Flourish, they work and look great! One of them had a rip in it, so I needed to replace it. My wife easily sewed some fabric she got from JoAnne's for about $5/yard. Was easy to do and I can't tell the difference!

          • I know that Fluorish panel covers are fire resistant, and I fear I won't be able to find such fabric cheap enough.  It's looking a bit too expensive right now.  Fluorish sells the fabric also, but not cheap enough to have someone make them for me.
