Didn't do the show this year, have heard mixed reviews from the artists I know who did this show. Easter Sunday was very slow. We did this show 2008 & 2009, it's very weather dependent, 2008 was nice weather, we had an average show, 2009 was rainy and cold and it wasn't worth the time to be there for 3 days. We've decided it's not worth the 6 hour drive from Seattle.
I tend to agree with you about AUE not being worth the drive. Being so early in the spring it is very much weather dependent. This year it was very cold the first day, Friday, but the next two days were beautiful. The crowd was sparse Friday, massive on Saturday and sparse again on Sunday. Even though the crowd was great on Saturday the fair-goers seemed more interested in eating and enjoying the weather. All the venders, except the food venders, were complaining about their sales. Art Under the Elms has seen the last of me.
