We are starting to look at our schedule for 2011. Since there are few shows in Wisconsin in early 2011 (January-May). I thought we would look at shows in Indiana or Michigan. Since we have never ventured into these states, we know very little about the shows. We have 2D Mixed Media Framed Collage Art. Prices range from $85-$800. We do well in Milwaukee, St. Louis and the Twin City's (for some reason not very well in Chicago). Any suggestions?

  • Another option is the Women in Art show if one of your artists is female. It is held by the Eiteljorg Museum in early spring. Indoor show - and my paintings do very well there. It is a juried show - but low cost if accepted. FYI - They also do a winter market show in early December that is not female exclusive.

I agree with Patricia on her assessment of the other 3 shows - although I've only done them as a spectator as I just started showing my work a little over a year ago and their entry fees are higher than I wanted to pay as I get my "feet wet". My other note on Talbot is that while I enjoy the show - it is very challenging to get to the artist's booths as the streets are so crowded with people, dogs and baby carriages.

Best of luck in the coming season!
