  • John, how did the Jackson Hole show work out for you?  I'm considering adding it to my potential shows for 2014. My work is right up the alley for western living (lived in Sheridan Wyo for a dozen years).  Thanks.

    • Sorry, saw copper and made an assumption. Did august. They said july was a better show. Good luck.
    • Beautiful drive, great time in the area. Spent a month. The show was a dissapointment. Looks like you are a metals artist. We saw many metal artists and they were doing very well. We are potters, not many potters in the show that we saw. Have a friend that did the show the same year we did, 2D work, he did well and picked up a gallery in JH. All in all worked out for us nicely with mileage and expenses at the end of the year. High quality show, great artists. Weather nice for the show. Folks told us the weather needed to be rainy to wash the people out of the woods! Got great feedback from other artists about the sales.
      • Actually, I'm a glass artist doing sandblast etching on glass, as well as copper overlay on glass.  Did you do the July or August show?  Thanks for info! You can see my art at www.eaglass.com

  • John - can you provide a review for Art Fair at Jackson Hole Wy from last year.  Just wondering if August or July are better and what the economic climate is there.  Thanks Paul

  • Thanks for the information. This will be a long drive!!!
  • crafty, western theme, uneven ground. for those with high end bronzes or representational work might be a good bet. fairly small crowds. a good percentage of buyers live in high end log homes, are from california, are into the western look in lifestyle, clothes and decorating. good sales if you have the right artwork. not so good if you have abstract contemporary. it's a loooong way from anything so check the miles on mapquest before deciding. good show if you're just passing through or just filling a week befor another show in the west. at least for me,camping was good which kept costs down. hope this helps
