Phil - I haven't had experience with this show, but I agree that I've heard that it's 2nd after Port Clinton in terms of the "best" of Amy's shows. I'm currently on the wait list for Art on the Glen - #1 in my category, so I'm hoping ONE person drops out - and on the wait list for Port Clinton (#7) so here's hoping I get in. I did some of Amy's shows last year (North Shore, Millenium, Gold Coast and Highwood) - but wanted to try for the "top" ones this year from her - and heard from other artists last year that the Glen show is a really good one. I wish I heard more specifics from people (since it is a high booth fee), but hopefully someone will chime in. Hopefully I'll see you there.
Hi Phil, I am doing Barrington, Buffalo and Arlington too :) I just moved to Barrington IL, so I can't wait for the show.
I heard from people living in Glenview that they love the show but I don't know anybody that did it. The area is beautiful but oh well, if you do it, let us know. I wish people wrote more reviews, I keep looking everywhere and there's just few from few show. :(
Thanks for the input, Geri. There's not much in the archives here about this show. I'm doing some of Amy's other shows -- Barrington, Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove and the Botanic Garden -- but can't decide if I want to lay out still another $495 in booth fees. Guess you gotta spend money to make money, huh?
If you do a search, you should be able to find roports on last year's show.
I think it is second to Port Clinton of all of Amy's shows. The quality is good and like the area, there are price points in every range. The location is good, not far from either the tollway or the expressway. It is very patron-friendly and with close-by parking, it should be relatively artist friendly also.
By the way, your website is wonderful. I enjoyed the music as well as your photography.
