The Peoria Art Guild will host the Art Fair at Junction City on June 6-7, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Junction City Shopping Center.This event is open for artists who reside within 100 miles of Peoria, IL.Now in its 4th year, the Junction City Art Fair showcases the talents of local artists residing within 100 miles of Peoria and expects to attract over 10,000 visitors.The Peoria Art Guild is known for its downtown Fine Art Fair, now in its 46th year, which takes place annually the last full weekend of September and enjoys a national reputation as one of the top Fairs in the U.S. Although local artists are encouraged to apply and exhibit at the larger Fair, the Art Guild developed the Art Fair at Junction City to focus on the amazing pool of local talent in the area. Like the downtown event, the fair is a success thanks to helpful staff, an abundance of volunteers and an artist-friendly atmosphere.This family-friendly event will also feature the Young Artists Show, a show designed to showcase the talents of our area students.
