What are the best things about art fairs

I love decorating my booth space...I use alot of vintage pieces I've collected over the years for display and it's fun putting it all together.

Best show ever and why

At the first show I attended I met a very nice lady who loved my stuff. She was head of the chamber of commerce in her town and she invited me to a juried show she was putting on in a few months there. Of course I accepted. The show was an evening Art Walk.. 6-9pm .. I was set up in an insurance company...Yikes, right?? But no, the insurance company was located in an historic building, rich mahogany woodwork, a gorgeous fireplace and vintage furniture. I was in heaven, being The Vintage Hippy, I create with recycled & vintage stuff, so the spot was perfect for me. It was a warm April evening and crouds of people filled the sidewalks. Remember, this was only my second show..a juried show I was invited to attend..and if my hubby hadn't been there to make change I couldn't have kept up...I made $800.00 in those 3 hours. It was my best show ever.

Worst show ever and why

I attended an inside show on an extremely hot day in July 2012. The building had no AC and only a few ceiling fans. It was miserable. Only a hand full of people came in and they didn't stay because it seemed hotter in the building than outside. I actually broke out with a heat rash and was draping a water soaked towel over the back of my neck. Needless to say I made very little money that day ...it was a very bad show.
