First show ever
Saint Generio feast when I was about 20, .I designed a heart shaped quilted Purse..Satin in Black and Red..Later to be copied by a very Famous 57th boutique. Green flea market.Showtiques,Clearview productions..
What are the best things about art fairs
I find it fun..Most of the people are so friendly and you really do have a sense of freedom...Making a bit bit of money is always a plus.
Best show ever and why
I did a show with SHOWTIQUES,It was a lovely sunny warm day.I think it was in Baludwin on the beach..It was heaven and the croud was so pleasent.I also love doing the church fairs in the Hamptons...my weakness is the local church ladys home backed goods...
Worst show ever and why
I have always been an Artist,I have always been ahead of a trend.I was bullied at a showtiques show,by one of the Vendors and then one of the workers. He said I was not allowed to set up standing in front of my booth?Thats like saying you must walk backward. The clearview people are very rude as well... Coming from a punk rock background/East Village/I do believe I was able to straighten both Rude individuals out....:'} I found out at a later time. They were threatened by my jewelry designs,They tried to intimidate me.So that was not a good day.A little old lady also stole $100.00 as well...Oh Well.live and learn...
