  • The Poquoson Seafood Festival is something I do each year- small town, get to see people I went to school with, customers and families from my former jobs, etc. etc.  Ends up being more of a social event for me, and usually sell some work too.  Haven't been to the Gosport show- let me know how it goes- maybe I'll try to get out there for a look
  • Hi H.T.-  AOTA is usually a great show for me, but 2010 the weather was very dreary and there weren't many folks out that day.  This year they're going to a 2-day show (Saturday-Sunday w/security overnight).  I haven't done Stockley as the fall show ends up being the same weekend as Seafood Festival, but have heard it's a good show for artists as well as buyers.  Do you have any shows coming up for spring?

(btw- don't know about the gift thing... I bet you've found out by now anyway:-)

  • Oh we don't agree we agree to disagree but we both love art, he is a graphic artist and artist in wood, my husband is also but I do the photographs, I have to yell at him to finish my site as he doesn't want to quit working in the shop.  You ought to take a look at his but I have to have mine finished as I want a galley up.

We also have our own business outside of art but I really don't like the pressure henceforth the photographs, the old south goes along with my poetry books.  I love to take pics of the past, everyone talks about digital cameras but they are the future and I like them.  You can do so much with them.

Every show I go to wants it in digital except one and they want three prints but you know what they come from a digital.  Funny.
