What are the best things about art fairs

The people.

Best show ever and why

So far, Roseland Cottage in Woodstock , CT. THe fair was a moderate size with a cozy feel. The visitors were faithfuls who clearly looked forward to coming each year. My neighbors were experienced exhibitors. The were out going, encouraging and took me under there respective wings.

Worst show ever and why

A small show in Trumbull, CT. The promoter didn't promote the show. Although it was said to be juried there was no consistency in the level of art work. I was selling across from buy/sell vendors and crafters whose price point was about $2-10 while mine was more like $40-100. This promoter misrepresented what types of crafts would be presented in the show. Lastly, only after being pressed did he claim to have 60 exhibitors. Actually only 12 showed up.
