First show ever

My first show ever bombed and I haven't been back since. It was in 2015 at a local May Day festival. They had just decided to move the indoor activities to a new location, didn't advertise these changes, and had a hodge-podge of vendors there that didn't jive at all. They also charged $75 for admission for a 5-hour show, and we had to provide everything necessary for our 10x10 booth. I made two sales, which totaled $20. My friend didn't make any sales. We were going to split the cost, but she supplied the tables so I covered the whole thing, making it a loss of over $50. It really soured the experience for me.

What are the best things about art fairs

Ambiance and getting to meet a variety of unique artisans. As someone who goes to art fairs, I generally take pictures of their work with their business card in the photo. I usually want to support them, but can't possibly have enough money to purchase from everyone I admire.

Best show ever and why

The best show I've ever been to was probably Mayfest in Tulsa.

Worst show ever and why

The worst show was the one I was part of, the May Day festival in Owasso, OK.
