What are the best things about art fairs

Direct contact with the potential buyer and USUALLY keep all of the sales price , after expenses. Friendship with the other artists, only they know what your life is really like.

Best show ever and why

St. Louis, (Clayton) almost sold out - Once! But there are other good shows, too: FT. Worth, Kansas City Plaza, Bellville, sometimes Bellevue Museum, WA and more..There are no guarantees in this business. Some shows that used to be great are dying a slow agonizing death, Beverly Hills,CA for one, Ann Arbor, MI for another.

Worst show ever and why

Any zero show or a show where the artists are treated like trash. One show stands out, though - Austin, TX when it was held on the downtown streets and setup didn't start until late the previous night - it's the only time I ever screamed at a director - once I was able to find her - about midnight , and THEN had to setup! Never went back.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

It was so long ago, I don't remember.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I'm pretty easygoing, enjoy a good laugh and a good drink after a good show and am just generally philosophical about the whole thing - give it your best shot and then it's in the hands of the gods who watch over us poor fools who call ourselves artists.
