What are the best things about art fairs

patrons get to meet the artist face-to-face , see, touch or try on the art in person. Also connecting with and sharing ideas with other artists and crafts people.

Best show ever and why

Some of my best shows have been small, private shows. I sold more jewelry in a three hour show at a massage therapist's office than at some larger all-weekend shows.

Worst show ever and why

Summer 2013 "The Craft Show" in my own town, Cambria, Ca. put on, I believe, by "the craftshow.org" It was not a juried show so there were lots of importers. You could have someone with handcrafted work right next to a Chinese knockoff for a fraction of the price.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

In the summer I rent out my house and live in a volkswagon camper-van while volunteering on the Olympic Peninsula .
