What are the best things about art fairs
The people, the one on one face to face, and their reactions to what you create.
Best show ever and why
Little early for me to answer that one.
Worst show ever and why
Dublin Art Fair- Dublin, Ohio I believe this is a new group handling this show. 1. Slow to get information ( booth assignment) got that on the day of the show. 2. Was not advertised well, several customers stated they did not see anything advertised. 3. Portable toilets (yuck) were placed in the sun!!!! 4. Tents were so close the person next to me had a difficult time putting up her sides. 5. Made very little money The 2 women running this show came to my booth and introduced them selves. When I told them my name one said, "Oh, you email as much as I do". I emailed her 2 times with questions?! And once when I did not receive the notification if I had been accepted by the date she had given. When I brought up the problems mentioned above she had excuses and was a little defensive. I am new at this and maybe expect too much. No, when you are running a business you need to listen to your customers (vendors), not take things personally, and correct your mistakes.
