Best show ever and why
Loring Park Art Festival in Minneapolis. Although this show is one the same week-end as two other major art shows in Minneapolis, I think it is by far the best. It was started by three artists and continues to be "artist friendly". The setting is lovely around a pond in an inner city park. It is always my best show of the season.
Worst show ever and why
Art on the Bayfront in Duluth, Minnesota. This show is not artist friendly. The year I went, there was literally no space between the tents. I had to share my space with a tree...really!!! While it claims "juried" art show and rigid deadlines, an artist friend of mine got into the show the day before. Some of the art is fabulous but it was mixed with imports and crafts. I have yet to meet any artist who has attended this show who has been pleased with it.

Our show is the newest art fair in Minnesota and we are learning from our mistakes, the year you attended, we did only give our artist exactly what was stated at 10' x 10' space. We are learning and last year we gave our artists much more space for the allotted 10' x 10' stated space. If you need references, we have plenty of artists who have returned all three years we have held the art fair. I can assure you no artist got in the day before the show for Art in Bayfront Park and we do not have imports nor crafts. I hope you will give us another shot as we are still growing and have had some pains in the process, but the site is exceptional and we are doing quite phenomenal now.
