What are the best things about art fairs

Traveling, seeing artwork by other artists, meeting vendors who become friends, networking, and selling my artware.

Best show ever and why

To date it was the Folly Beach Sea and Sand Festival. It was well advertised, easy load in and load out, huge turn out, booth fees were reasonable, and we sold a lot of artware at this festival.

Worst show ever and why

Summerville Flowertown Festival. We were in Gina and Gerry Britt's yard and were stuck behind the food vendors who had 20' high signage so nobody knew there were other vendors back there. And we were 1 of only 2 true artists in this spot. Everyone else was buy / sell vendors. Low traffic and no money to be made.

Many topics have already been discussed here before you joined us. You might like to try a search of your topic before you post your question. Just put your topic, canopy tents, jurying fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, etc, into the search bar at the top of the right side of the page. You might be surprised that someone has already asked your question.

We also ask that all new members take a few moments of their time to read the code of conduct. You will find it at http://www.artfairinsiders.com/page/code-of-conduct. There are a few guidelines that all members will need to follow because , as in any social community, we all need to work together.
