First show ever

Having just recently retired, I am finally able to get some serious painting done. For years the only painting I was able to find time for were field sketches in watercolor when we were on vacation. I was only once in an art fair - about 35 years ago - and got a second place ribbon for one of my water colors. Currently I am working the rust off and building my inventory. Can I stay anyway?

What are the best things about art fairs

While I have not been in a fair for a hunnert years, I have attended many. From that side of the fence the best is the variety of art that one comes across within any one art fair and the wonderful surprises around every corner.

Best show ever and why

The Old Town art fair in Chicago is the very best. There are a very large number of artists who create high quality and innovative pieces plus the neighborhood is interesting.

Worst show ever and why

I don't even remember where it was, but it was advertised as a fine art fair and turned out to be very poor quality "crafts".
