What are the best things about art fairs
Face to face interaction with customers, immediate feedback.
Best show ever and why
So far - Boston Ahts Festival, years ago, because booth fees were super low, but quality of work was very high. Volunteers to help you set up/break down/brought you (free!) lunch, watched your booth for you, etc. Lots of customers, willing to spend money. (It was sponsored by the city of Boston, which helped with all the perks. Not sure if it's still this high quality or not.)
Worst show ever and why
Holliston Newcomers Club fair. Very low quality work (after being assured by the organizers that it was high quality), terrible lighting, people expecting to spend $2 on wooden ornaments, not to purchase real artisan level work.
