Inman Park we made $350.00... finally I could quit my day job at an advertising agency in Atlanta. Yeah!
What are the best things about art fairs
On a good day when the weather is perfect and you are one with the show, you just feel the positive energy. It is easy to enjoy every conversation with each customer. Those are the good days, they don't happen enough.
Best show ever and why
Madison! Busy putting jewelry back out on our display and heard someone say look at that line to get into that booth, I looked up and it was our booth. To see 25 people with jewelry in their hands in a single file line waiting to pay you for your work was a beautiful thing. That is an image you will never forget. Still makes me smile.
Worst show ever and why
Learned a valuable lesson....Do your research. The second show we ever did was in GA. We were so excited we just wanted to do a show every weekend but we didn't know any artist doing shows. Back then you got your info. from other artist at shows the old fashion way. We set out to somewhere outside of Atlanta where we were set up next to the pig ear stand (you think we would of known then) no we were too new and stupid. We made it until noon, packed it up and haven't been that happy to leave a show since.

I guess I have been lucky, left because of weather but everyone is grateful to have a quick way out at that point. Nothing too strange yet...but there is always the next show.
