What are the best things about art fairs
As an artisan, getting the one on one time with your shopper gives you a great opportunity to share a story about the objects assembled, their history, their romantic past, their rarity. I love to share with others the joy of the hunt for eclectic, unusual pieces, that might have gone un- noticed in a boutique.
Best show ever and why
I truly adore the Friday Harbor show, as the strollers come to spend, appreciate art and artisan-made items, are savvy and the shows are always well attended.
Worst show ever and why
Salado TX. Though the tiny Salado is brimming with history, antique stores, and a lovely spot for a venue, sales were slow, an art sale at a wine-tasting going on at same time could possibly have slowed strolling shoppers at our show. ( DUH!)
