Best show ever and why
Mayfaire by the Lake in Lakeland, FL 2018. Won a big award, made some nice sales...a great end to an otherwise mediocre year!
Worst show ever and why
Well, there are many I'd like to forget. Probably ArtsFest Stuart. They had huge fencing blocking off the show area, were charging a hefty admission, and had an aerial gymnastics display going on behind my tent that people couldn't tear themselves away from. Complete disaster!

I quit my full-time job as a corporate marketer/graphic designer in 2019 to pursue my photography business full time!

Many topics have already been discussed here before you joined us. You might like to try a search of your topic before you post your question. Just put your topic, canopy tents, jurying fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, etc, into the search bar at the top of the right side of the page. You might be surprised that someone has already asked your question.
We also ask that all new members take a few moments of their time to read the code of conduct. You will find it at http://www.artfairinsiders.com/page/code-of-conduct. There are a few guidelines that all members will need to follow because , as in any social community, we all need to work together.

Karen, thanks...did you see the blog post about all the gear you'll need for a show? It's somewhat daunting but you should definitely check it out and copy it so you'll know what to take with you when you get your first gig. What kind of tent did you order and from whom? Just curious...
Hi Karen, welcome to Art Fair Insiders! Ah, a fellow newbie...do you have any shows lined up or are you still testing the waters? I haven't done an art show yet myself but have applied for one in December, here in Detroit. A little nervous but at least it's indoors and I don't have to buy a tent yet...waiting to hear whether I made the cut or not, applications end tomorrow...in any event, good luck to you and please take advantage of all the information that is here for you...thanks and good luck!
