What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting the artists and buying art directly. I enjoy strolling throughout award-winning artist's displays while sipping fine wine and listening to the fine tunes of nationally recognized musicians. I love the Arizona sunshine Nov thru April.
Best show ever and why
Highly juried, quality fine art, fine wines & music surrounded by specialty shops, boutiques & outdoor cafes. Thunderbird Artists produce many award-winning festivals over the years. Extensive advertising campaigns.
Worst show ever and why
About 20 years ago, we produced a show in Summerlin (near Las Vegas). Show was held outdoors on a lovely grass area of a high school in a neighborhood of million dollar homes. we did an extensive advertising campaign with numerous TV commercials, newspapers, magazines, posters, fliers, etc. Later we heard that Patrons thought it was high school students' art which is why they didn't attend. Those that attended were overwhelmed with the quality of art. We needed more patrons for all the artists to do well. It absolutely broke our heart as we know that the artists rely on us to put food on their table.
