Years in the Art Fair Business

First show ever
it was at the Seaside OR convention center. A huge art/craft show. so sorry i can't remember what it was called. thanks for your time.
What are the best things about art fairs
i haven't done an art fair in years. i opened my own shoppe in 2001 and sold my art from there. plus i exibited at the Seattle International Gift Show in 2002 and came away with many wholesale accounts from another product i created. I sold my business 3 years ago and am now trying to decide how best to market my own art.
Best show ever and why
every show i have done was fantastic! i used to make amazing scented pillar candles and the shows i did were usually in the fall, and i sold out at every show. OR, AZ & WA where i currently live. what was so cool was that most of those sales ended up being dedicated customers and ordered via email, phone or reg. mail. yippee!!! i did not have a website at the time nor a retail store.
Worst show ever and why
i never had a bad show. well the Seattle show was memorable because i took my adult son with me for help and he hated it and never smiled. he actually scowled at people. he left for a bite to eat and didn't come back for THREE hours! that was irritating. to be fair, he did have a mental illness and sadly, he is no longer with us. very sad.
