What are the best things about art fairs

The people. I love the other artist and the patrons. I love hearing people compliment my work. I love it when people want to own my work.

Best show ever and why

Bloomington 4th Street Art Fair. The organizers were wonderful. The patron were generous. Everything about the show was easy.

Worst show ever and why

Eiteljorg museum. We were stuck in the basement with no signage to point patron to our area. The artists were definitely an "Oh by the way" to their train exhibit.

  • Hi, Jeri.

My name is Raoul, and I'm writing to you about a comment you left on Crosby Art Festival.  You mention not wanting to be out in the sunny, (yeah, I can feel you on that) or off in what you describe as an "Island".  May I ask you what your booth number was, and, perhaps, where these islands are located.

I'm thinking of doing this show and would appreciate any information that you could offer.

    Thanks

    Raoul

Click the SEARCH tab at the top of the page and “search” for your topic: tents, jury fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, the name of a show, etc. You might be surprised that someone has already asked your question.

We also ask all new members to take a few moments to read our code of conduct. Here it is, under the Discussions tab. These are the guidelines that all members need to follow to keep the community useful and helpful to all.

  • Well, we're glad to have you, Jeri.  I've always been attracted to weaving and had a belt loom back in the day...what kinds of things do you weave?  Wraps, scarves, rugs?  You should download (upload?) some photos to your site if you haven't already.

  • Hello Jeri,

Welcome to Art Fair Insiders!  As a fellow fiber artist, I'd love to know more about what you do...I'm a knitter/felter who makes women's hats and handbags, etc.  This is a wonderful site for meeting other artists and learning about the Art Fair business.  Thanks for joining us and best of luck to you.
