What are the best things about art fairs

Being out and getting to see new places, new and old customers, and other artists works.

Best show ever and why

Week before Thanksgiving in Salem, Oregon 1982. Sold out. Great time for everyone. Picked up two galleries. And it snowed on the last day.

Worst show ever and why

September 1984. Coming back from the show, my rooftop carrier was ripped off the car on a bridge in eugene Oregon. It ripped off the rails, holding units, my displays were attached, everything. and left big holes in the roof of the car. I had to stop and run back on to the bridge and move it all before any more cars came. it was too heavy to lift and ultimately I ended up leaving it all n the side of the road. A complete loss.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I started professionally in High School. I finished the normal art classes a year early, so the administration set up a special senior “class” for me, where I took on commissions for portraits, sketches, backdrops for theater, etc, for real money. Just kept going after that.
