First show ever

The 2013 Near Northwest Neighborhood Arts Cafe in South Bend, Indiana. It's an art fair/house tour my neighborhood has most years. Since my house was on the tour, I was able to set up in my own foyer. I sold a 16x20 print and an 8x10 print. I hope to do better with my second one.

What are the best things about art fairs

Great art outdoors

Best show ever and why

I've mostly just attended them, not displayed, but I think the best one I've ever been to was the Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff in St. Joseph, Michigan, about 3 years ago. I'd recently gotten engaged to my wife, it wasn't overwhelmingly hot and muggy for a change, we found and purchased a couple of pieces we liked, and then went to the beach.

Worst show ever and why

I think it was called the Amish Acres Art fair or the Nappanee art fair. I think there were half a dozen very generic watercolorists, one very generic acrylic artist, and a bunch of people selling yard art, clothing, jewelry assembled from Hobby Lobby parts, and junk that was straight up made in a factory. Oh, and lots of ceramic geese, and clothing for those geese. We ditched it and went to a play *called* "Art" and it was ten thousand times better.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

The google. The google referred me. The google is most wise.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I regularly spend at least part of my day working from bed, but I'm not a prostitute, just a software developer who thinks better in a reclined position. :)
