First show ever

I have been attending Flea Markets for at least thirty (30) years, but the first recognized show I did was the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in 1984.

What are the best things about art fairs

Inspiration and direct feedback, both from customers as well as other vendors. Their work and experience will often lead me to a path I might have never noticed without there aid and knowledge (that and giving away rocks to kids).

Best show ever and why

This is a difficult question to answer, back west we tend to spontaneously set up on the side of the road. If referring to just "shows", which is only a portion of my experience, I would have to say I enjoyed the Celtic Festival and Highland Games of the Mid-Rio Grande Region the most. It was small enough for the customer to not feel overwhelmed (which of course helped them feel more comfortable with spending) and for the vendors to not be to aggressive with one another or the customers, there seemed to be plenty to go around. It is also only one day. I like that, it lends to the uniqueness of the show, gypsy like, "Today and Today only Folks", I also don't get burned out that way, and of course the bottom line at days end was never a disappointment.

Worst show ever and why

worst show, Yuma, Arizona, spring, 1984. why, Yuma, Arizona, spring, 1984.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

I have been regularly vending my craft at the Ann Arbor Sunday Artisan Market and a customer wrote down the information to your site for me (several months ago), when I recently attempted to be organized I re-discovered the valuable data and am now putting it to use.
