Meeting other artists and art enthusiasts! Oh, sales are wonderful too, of course.


Best show ever and why

I really enjoy open studio nights at Aurora Gallery that allows us to meet and greet art collectors. I am thrilled to have been accepted to White Linen Night with an anticipated 30,000 peeps coming!


Worst show ever and why

I had an open studio once and only 3 people came by. Thank goodness I had plenty of other artists to talk to and pass the time. I ended up painting and making new art, but slow and a show void of people is never that much fun.

I am a writer and research all of the time. My friends have helped guide me and honestly, I found your calendar online and signed up immediately. The more I learn, the more I want to learn!


What is one fun fact about yourself?

I can type 120 wpm. Friends would also tell you that I'm pretty funny. :)

    • Please stop by the "Discussions" area to introduce yourself. Then read the "Getting Started" for tips to make the site easier to navigate.
    • Many topics have already been discussed. We suggest you try a search of your topic before you post your question. Click the SEARCH tab at the top of the page and “search” for your topic: tents, jury fees, Ann Arbor Art Fair, the name of a show, etc. You might find that someone has already asked and answered your question.
    • Check out our code of conduct to understand the rules of the site.

    Hello Heather,

    Welcome to AFI!  We're delighted to have you join us here and hope you'll find the site helpful, inspiring and fun!  I'm so glad that I learned to type in high school, I don't think they teach typing anymore which is sad.  Having a good sense of humor is just about the best thing you can have in life, aside from good health, of course.  There's a funny side to just about everything.
