Best show ever and why
Billings (MT) Summerfair. Well run; well established; nice to the artists (!), tons of sales.
Worst show ever and why
Boulder City (NV) Art in the Park. Poorly run. Very expensive booth & jury fees. Approx. 1/2 booths contain 100% mass-produced items, so what ws the "jury" doing? Park dirty on 2nd day with trash not picked up from prior day. Had 2 car dealers selling cars there! Allowed food vendors to "hawk" people into their booth. Had glass nail file booth in "fine art" area. Once they get your booth fee, they no longer care about the artists. Used to be good sales, but now attendees looking for $5 items.
