What are the best things about art fairs

selling artwork, meeting other artists and seeing their work, meeting the visitors, sharing inspiration and ideas, making new friends and seeing long time friends, being outdoors and having one's work seen.

Best show ever and why

The Village Renaissance Faire. Wrightstown, Pa. My first year there in 2010, I had been drawing cartoon portraits on the spot while also displaying some of my paintings. I had been drawing non stop through out the 2 day event, and also sold paintings that produced a very good income for the weekend, and my artwork went home to a variety of neighboring areas.

Worst show ever and why

An Irish cultural festival in Northeast Phila. It was the first year for the event, scheduled during the same weekend that Philly residents typically went to the first football game of the season. It was a 2 day event. Saturday it rained heavily. I didn't set up since I was going to draw cartoon portraits on paper. sunday I did set up and I didn't draw one single cartoon the entire day. It was definitely the worst event I ever participated in Other times, even if it isn't very good, I would earn enough to pay for my space. Not one penny was earned at this event.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
