What are the best things about art fairs

You get to meet and talk with the people who are interested in your paintings, and find out what they like.

Best show ever and why

'Wall Candy' in Ottawa, 2018. There were many sales, some older work. Lots of fun for a one day event!

Worst show ever and why

My first show. It was in the summer and they charged a $15 entrance fee. There were many other free events outside which were much more appealing to the public. We had very few visitors.

  • RE: David Emmon's Masterclass Course for Facebook and online advertising. I see you had done some of it in July. Did you do more? Do you feel it was worthwhile?

    Hi Donna,

I started doing the workshop and got sidetracked (what else is new) along the way, have been trying to pick it up again. Dave provides a lot of resources within the workshop and continues to do so with live online monthly coaching calls. He really provides a lot of resources but, as with anything, you need to do the work. The parts that I have done I have found useful, i.e., how to build your FB business page, all the tools available within that, etc. I didn't know that there was so much available so for me that was helpful as-well-as being walked through it. To have tried to figure it out myself would have taken a lot longer and the learning would have been much more hit and miss. He seems to have immersed himself in a lot of online marketing and is disseminating/distilling that information through his course. For what it is worth, that is my experience to date.

    Cheers

    SB
