Years in the Art Fair Business
16 (although I have yet to be in a juried show...)
First show ever
Mint Hill, NC Street Festival
What are the best things about art fairs
Ability to communicate my excitement about my pieces to the customers Meeting other vendors - exchange of ideas Wonderful vibes!
Best show ever and why
Arcadia Scottish Festival, 4 or 5 years ago - beautiful weather, met many wonderful people, sold a reasonable amount, lots of good things - I really miss this festival...
Worst show ever and why
Gastonia, NC Street Festival - positioned with high end vendors - SHOULD have been a good situation. Instead we (all the vendors in the area) ended up making NO sales, as the vendor across the aisle raked in the cash, selling Mickey Mouse sand art - REALLY - and playing Disney Disco tapes all day.... Hi Donna, Welcome to Art Fair Insiders. This is a great place for all kinds of wonderful information and making new friends. I enjoyed looking at your work. I'm from Michigan, but was born close to you in Alton, IL and visit there quite often as I still have family there...who knows maybe our paths will cross one day. Take care,
Sabrina
