What are the best things about art fairs
1. Talking with potential customers 2. Great opportunity to educate about marbling as an art form as I demonstrate when possible 3. When the weather is good and set up is done it feels like a party! 4. Great chance to meet other artists and trade
Best show ever and why
Last local outdoor done in 2015 called "Art at the Riverside", Leo, IN. Weather was fabulous. Show promotion fantastic (promotor offered posting of in studio interviews done with the artists several weeks in advance), great crowd and FANTASTIC sales for this one day show and minimal show costs. Good set up could unload close to booth. Promotor welcomed demonstrations and promoted it.
Worst show ever and why
Columbia City, IN. (Art Around the Square) or something like that. Crowds minimal and not knowledgeable about the art form of marbling, nor open to being educated. Patrons looking for a deal. Jury process too broad accepted "artists" who looked to me more like "crafters".

What is one fun fact about yourself?
I love the teaching the art of marbling and am constantly amazed at the number of color combinations and patterns that emerge from the solution.
